Ward, a lifelong resident of the Columbia and Irmo area, received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Davidson College in 1990 and is a 1993 graduate of the USC School of Law, where he is a regular presenter on trial techniques to practicing attorneys and students.
Ward also serves his community as a board member for the Salkehatchie Summer Service Project of the United Methodist Church and as a Sunday school teacher at Shandon Presbyterian Church. His wife, Betsy, is an attorney for the Palmetto Health Alliance and they are the parents of three sons. He is also an avid guitar player.
